Summary of Core Functionality

The system has been developed using the Internet enabled ORACLE database and the ORACLE Designer toolset and development methodology.  It is almost a one hundred percent generated system with the exception of some reports which originated from the Designer product and had their layout modified using the “Developer 2000” report writer tool.  This means that all documentation, user manuals, technical documents, Entity Attribute descriptions, in fact anything relevant to the iGas™ system is stored within the Designer database. Technical readers of this document will readily appreciate that Airas has a unique opportunity to maintain the systems documentation in step with the actual system.

An option to run in multi- lingual can be built into the system; each user can then decide in which language they prefer to work and then all screens are presented in that language. 

The system enables user reporting interfaces, by assisting with copying data into Microsoft (or similar) products, and in the design and writing of their own letters, schedules and reports, including merging data from the database as required.  This provides great flexibility for the end user in the design of their client documents.

The iGas™ system includes comprehensive parameter screens that allow the end user to design and implement new products, their behaviour and rules directly into the database without the assistance of Airas staff.

A “Security” interface is provided within iGas™ that is easy to use and allows the end user to create and maintain the users of the iGas™ and the functionality allowed to be accessed by each user.
